Daxxify Is a Long-Lasting Botulinum Toxin Formula
Daxxify™ is a prescription medicine injected into facial muscles to temporarily improve the look of frown lines between the eyebrows. The process takes approximately five to 15 minutes, after which you can immediately return to your daily activities. Patients typically see results within one to two days. Daxxify™ lasts, on average, six months—and for some patients—it may last up to 9 months.
Although injectable wrinkle reducers all contain botulinum toxin type A and work by the same mechanism to temporarily reduce minor facial lines and wrinkles, there are substantial differences between types of injectable treatments. The treatments are not the same, and the doses cannot be interchanged. Conventional botulinum toxin treatments only last three to four months, requiring three to four treatments per year. Daxxify™ is different. With Daxxify™, the average duration of effect is longer, so less frequent treatments are required.
Daxxify™ treatment consists of minimally invasive injections administered at our Nashville office. Daxxify™ injections are typically administered with a small needle. People receiving frown line treatments often say the injection feels like a small pinch. These injections do not require anesthesia, and there is no downtime or recovery time after the injections. You will be able to return to your normal activities right away. However, it would be best not to rub or massage the injection sites as this may cause the botulinum toxin to spread to non-targeted areas of your face.
