What Is a Facelift?
Facelift surgery is a common anti-aging procedure for men and women in Nashville. Even with the availability of dermal fillers and injectables, chemical peels and skin tightening treatments, these options can only delay the aging process. A facelift is recommended when you reach the point of having moderate to severe sagging and significant loss of elasticity that results in creases, folds, and copious wrinkles on the face.
Incision placement for a facelift may be in the temple area, hairline, and around the ears.
What Is a Mini Facelift?
The earliest signs of aging develop in the lower third of the face, including the nose, mouth, chin, and jowls. A Nashville mini face lift is a modified facelift that only corrects the lower face. A mini facelift requires fewer and smaller incisions than a traditional facelift. Dr. MaDan may make the incisions under the chin or around the bottom of the ear
What Is the Cost of a Facelift?
The average cost of a mini facelift does vary by patient in Nashville. We can discuss the details of your cost for a facelift at the time of your consultation. For your convenience, Plastic Surgery Affiliates offers financing options for qualified patients.
What Are the Benefits of a Facelift?
- Dramatic anti-aging benefits
- Tailored to the needs of the patient
- Can be combined with medical spa treatments to address fine lines, age spots, and other issues on the surface of the skin
- Takes 10 to 15 years off your appearance
What Is the Recovery Time for a Facelift?
For the first week, you will relax at home. This does not mean staying in bed, but limiting yourself to activities that are relaxing, with periodic naps. Your face will be swollen and bruised, and you may have some discomfort. Drs. MaDan and Hueneke describe how to manage these symptoms during your post-op release.
Bruising and swelling will subside by the second week, and you will begin to feel normal. You may notice tightness, tingling, numbness, and burning. These are signs that the tissues are healing.
By the third week, your incisions are healing nicely. They may have a slightly pink, puckered appearance, and will gradually soften over time. Your scars will not completely disappear, but will change to a color that is slightly darker than the surrounding skin. The placement of the incisions makes the scars very difficult for others to notice.
You will have some swelling for six months to one year after your facelift surgery in Nashville.
