My name is Aurie Farmer, and I have been working for Dr. MaDan for the past eight years. I am a licensed aesthetician here, and in this room is where all the action happens. We do all kinds of skin care for the individual. We do everything from microdermabrasion, chemical peels, we have four different chemical peels that we use, depending on what the person needs and their age, and we also do a lot of permanent makeup. We do a lot of areola tattoo and post mastectomy that Dr. MaDan does here in the office and then they come to see me for the fun part. And then we do also a lot of new skin tightening with the Viora and that’s one of our finest and new treatments that we do which usually incorporates radio frequency to tone and tighten the body. It’s like a silhouette toner. So we have a little bit of everything for everyone, depends on what you want, so come down and see us. It’s a great place to work and it’s a fun place to be.
Actual patient – I have been very blessed by my experience with Dr. MaDan. I had never been to a plastic surgeon’s office before and I came to him on the recommendation of my breast surgeon because I had breast cancer and it was a very frightening time for me. And I can’t say enough about how great of a doctor he is. He really cares about his patients. His staff is so friendly they make you feel so comfortable. I feel like I’ve actually become friends with the people here in this office and count Dr. MaDan as a friend. They just go above and beyond to take care of your medical needs. I actually had an experience one time where I was having an issue and Dr. MaDan and his wife delayed their dinner plans to meet me in their office to take care of the issue that I was having. And I just would have never dreamed of even asking them to do that, but they insisted on doing that and I think that’s just an example of how much they both care about their patients.
Hi, my name is Ashley. I’m Dr. MaDan’s nurse here in the office. Before I was an employee, I was actually a patient here in 2009. Dr. MaDan did my surgery which I was very pleased with those results and I was very impressed with his level of patient care that he offered me. He made me very comfortable, walked me through the whole process, now I get a chance to walk our patients through that process and it’s very rewarding to let them know what is going to happen and how everything will go as far as pre-op all the way to post- op. I also do the nursing care after the surgery and I also do additional financial needs for the patient when they need that before the procedure and answer any questions. We always want our patients here to feel very comfortable with the surgery and we want all their questions answered here at the office beforehand. It’s always a pleasure working here with Dr. MaDan. He’s really a stand-up man and a very great surgeon. I get the advantage of seeing him first-hand doing procedures here in the office and get to take care of patients with him, and just very pleased and happy to be here. I’ve been here with him almost a year now and I just feel like I really grow and learn more, and continue to grow each day that I come in and work with Dr. MaDan.
Actual patient – Deciding to have plastic surgery is no small thing. It’s a huge thing. You have to be able to put a lot of trust in somebody. Dr. MaDan is gentle and compassionate. He is kind hearted and he is honest, and I feel that he is the best doctor who I’ve ever seen.
Actual patient – I had a full body lift. I had my arms, and my chest, and my waist, and my legs done, and its made a remarkable difference in my life. One of the biggest things for me was feeling comfortable with the staff and with Dr. MaDan. And from the minute I walked in the door, everybody that I came in contact with made you feel comfortable and I couldn’t be happier actually, and I let them know that all the time.
Dr. MaDan: One of the things I get to do as a plastic surgeon is help people that don’t really have the ability to help themselves. I have a wonderful practice. We’ve been very successful here over the last 14 years and that allows me the freedom to leave my practice from time to time and go to other countries and help the people there. One of my specific interests is going to Guatemala and I go there on a yearly basis. I get a chance to interact with the people and then work on children, and these children have deformities that unfortunately they were born with. They didn’t ask for those deformities and nobody did anything wrong. They just happened and there is a scarcity of surgeons talented to fix those problems. It’s a beautiful thing to go down there and take a baby with a deformed lip who has difficulty eating, smiling, speaking, and be able to correct that in 45 minutes. Cleft palate’s the other problem that these children suffer from. You can imagine what it’s like to have your meal or your beverage come out your nose on a daily basis and that’s something that we can just correct in a matter of hours.
The looks on the parents after we get finished is just priceless when they see their baby for the first time restored. It’s something that you have to be there to see. I can’t really put it in words, but it’s something that fuels me throughout the year and I really enjoy it, and like a lot of surgeons we all do down there on our own dime because we love it so much and the need is there. It’s not that we’re great people because we choose to do it. We’re just answering a call to go down and help those that need us.
