Male Arm Lift in Nashville, TN
What is a Male Arm Lift?
The upper arm area is prone to developing excess fat and sagging skin. This results in a lumpy appearance, and some men may notice that the tissue over the tricep muscle jiggles when they use their arms. Arm lift surgery is a cosmetic procedure that removes the fat and skin to give the arms a toned appearance.
Arm lift surgery involves making an incision on the inside of the arm from the elbow to the armpit. Drs. MaDan and Hueneke pull the tissues taut and removes any excess before closing the incisions.
The surgeons at Plastic Surgery Affiliates also use Renuvion™ to enhance the results of arm lift surgeries. Renuvion™, formerly known as J-Plasma®, is a minimally-invasive skin resurfacing and tightening treatment that combines the unique properties of helium plasma with the efficiency of radiofrequency energy to create a dual thermal effect. Renuvion™ is FDA cleared for cutting, coagulation and ablation of soft tissue during open and laparoscopic surgical procedures.
The Renuvion™ procedure is performed by inserting a long, thin metal cannula or tube into strategically placed incisions at the target area. The handheld device then converts a small amount of helium gas into plasma, which contours to the application area and evenly delivers the energy.

What is the Recovery Time for Arm Lift Surgery on Men?
The initial recovery from arm lift surgery may take up to three weeks. During this time, you will need to restrict your activities, and you may need to spend a few days resting at home. Common symptoms after arm lift surgery are swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness, and discomfort. Drs. MaDan and Hueneke may prescribe medication to help you feel comfortable.
Your upper arms may be wrapped in a compression bandage to manage swelling. You should wear the bandage as described by our plastic surgeons. In about 14 days, you begin to feel well enough to return to your normal activities, but you should only perform tasks that are light in nature. Avoid exercising and heavy lifting until released by Drs. MaDan and Hueneke.
Full recovery can take up to six weeks.
